Discovery Case: Bordeaux

From the gravel terraces of the Médoc to the limestone plateaus of Saint-Émilion, from the misty banks of the Garonne to the golden, botrytis-kissed slopes of Sauternes, Bordeaux is France's most storied and commanding wine region, a vast estuary of gravel, clay and limestone where two rivers meet and centuries of château tradition run deep. This collection is a love letter to Bordeaux in all its guises: structured, opulent, savoury, elegant and age-worthy. Six wines, one legendary confluence, France at its most classically refined.

WOW Series Bordeaux:

Château Landonnet Bordeaux Blanc 2024, Entre-Deux-Mers
Bright, breezy and built for the table. A crisp blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle from the river-carved plateau between the Dordogne and the Garonne. Citrus zest, white peach and a whisper of cut grass, finishing clean and saline. Bordeaux white at its most refreshing.

Château Arzac Blanc 2022, Graves
From the gravelly heartland south of the city, a white Graves of real substance. Sémillon-led, barrel-touched, layered with lemon curd, toasted almond and honeysuckle. Textured and generous, with the mineral backbone that only this soil can give.

Château Edmus Celebration 2022, Bordeaux
A modern Bordeaux blend made for the moment, its name suggests. Plush, plummy and polished, with dark cherry, cocoa and a silky, crowd-pleasing finish. Approachable now, built to toast with.

Château Arzac Rouge 2015, Graves
A decade in and singing beautifully. Cedar, tobacco leaf and warm cassis over a firm gravel-soil frame. Cabernet-driven structure softened by time, with a savoury, graphite-tinged finish that speaks of classic left-bank Graves.

Château Cordet 2020, Margaux
Perfumed and precise, as only Margaux can be. Violets, red currant and fine-grained tannin wrapped around a core of dark fruit. Elegant rather than powerful, with the silky, feminine finish this appellation is famous for.

Château Edmus, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2015
Merlot-led opulence from the right bank's limestone plateau. Black plum, mocha and dried herbs, velvety on entry with a long, earthy finish. A Grand Cru of real depth, showing beautifully at eleven years old.
