Podere Ruggeri Corsini Barbera d'Alba, 2017, Piemonte, Italy
Sold Out (inc VAT)
As big a mouthful as its name. No oak, autumnal, beetroot, cherry & plum.
Autumn in a glass. Pour a glass of this and you'll feel the nights roll in in a comforting, crunchy fallen leaves, roaring fire and starry skies kind of way. Packed with braised plums, gentle spices, earthy beetroot, liqueur soaked cherries and hearthside warmth. Autumn is the new summer.
Loredana Addari and Nicola Argamante decided they'd enough of their jobs in the city, so they packed it all in, studied winemaking and bought a tiny vineyard in Monforte d'Alba. They upgraded the traditional estate into an eco-friendly haven by adopting lighter bottles, handpicking, solar panels and natural waste water purification, and by massively reducing the use of chemical treatments and sulphur.
