Tasting notes

Aromas of rosemary, thyme, and lavender with a hint of leather. The palate is full-bodied with black plums, blueberries, and juicy, ripe tannins, finishing fresh with notes of coffee, chocolate, and a touch of smoky Syrah character.

About the winemaker

This is proper family endeavour. Dr Jacques Malan gave up his practice to pursue his love of wine. Now his son Anton makes the wine and his other son Francois tends the vines of the 22 hectare estate in Stellenbosch. The vineyards rise up from the valley floor to 550m above sea level high up the Jonkershoek Mountain.
