Voted the best in South Africa by the SA Terroir Awards and SA Wine of the Month Club.
Here at Humble Grape we have to admit to having a bit of a soft spot for the underrated Cabernet Franc grape variety. So when we stumbled across Rainbow's End's smooth Cabernet Franc, which was voted the best in South Africa by the SA Terroir Awards and SA Wine of the Month Club, we knew we had to have it. One of the Rainbow Nation's finest wines found at the Rainbow' End.
Deep purple with an oak-kissed nose of blackberry and hazelnut. Smooth, broad tannins frame a rich, juicy palate of dark cherry, blackberry, tobacco, and black forest cake, with hints of fynbos and lavender.
This is proper family endeavour. Dr Jacques Malan gave up his practice to pursue his love of wine. Now his son Anton makes the wine and his other son Francois tends the vines of the 22 hectare estate in Stellenbosch. The vineyards rise up from the valley floor to 550m above sea level high up the Jonkershoek Mountain.
