Rev up this Baby Barolo! Cedar, rose petals, cherries & spine-tingling acidity at the finish line.
Start your engines, Professor Nicola Argamante and his super geeky PHD in Nebbiolo Genetics are about to give you a vinified masterclass on what Langhe Nebbiolo is all about. Nebbiolo is a demanding little varietal that needs more TLC than other varietals, which is why it is content in the foggy hills of the Langhe. Nicola’s Langhe Nebbiolo is like a baby Barolo with training wheels made in Dogliani, and when you taste it, it gives you the same sensation as winning 1st place in Mariokart: winning. Expect to be smattered with cedar, rose petals, cherries, pepper and spine-tingling acidity at the finish line.
The 2021 vintage of Podere Ruggeri Corsini Langhe Nebbiolo DOC shows off the variety’s purity and finesse. On the nose, it’s fresh and fragrant, with delicate notes of violets, red berries, bramble, mint, and a touch of black pepper. The palate is equally elegant and vibrant, with lively acidity and fine tannins supporting layers of juicy fruit and floral complexity. A youthful, expressive Nebbiolo with clarity, charm, and excellent balance.
Loredana Addari and Nicola Argamante decided they'd enough of their jobs in the city, so they packed it all in, studied winemaking and bought a tiny vineyard in Monforte d'Alba. They upgraded the traditional estate into an eco-friendly haven by adopting lighter bottles, handpicking, solar panels and natural wastewater purification, and by massively reducing the use of chemical treatments and sulphur.
