Made from the Kratosija grape, which is pretty similar to a Primitivo or Zinfandel. So expect big, bold flavours, intense aromas, and a loooong finish too!

About the wine

Part of the limited Erigon Collection—named after the ancient name of the Crna (Black) River—this wine reflects the unique microclimate shaped by hot, dry, and windy conditions. These elements yield perfectly ripe, healthy grapes with deep colour and aromatic intensity. Made from North Macedonia’s historic Kratošija variety, this 6,000-bottle release from the Tikveš region is a bold, expressive red that blends tradition with modern craftsmanship. Unpretentious, distinctive, and proudly local.

Tasting notes

This wine exhibits a deep dark magenta colour. The nose is characterised by dried black plum, arugula, strawberry jam, and subtle hints of wax. On the palate, it is smooth with tongue-drying, firm, full, lower-intensity tannins. ​

These attractive wines have more structure of primary and secondary aromas, a dose of minerality, medium acidity, full body, well integrated alcohol.
