One in a thousand? We think this is one in a million.
About the wine
Uno de mil. One in a thousand. An organic, biodynamic, night-harvested, innovative blend that has been aged in new French oak barrels for 12 months, layering subtle spices on top of all that food-friendly fruit flavour. The only bad news is that we didn't get all one thousand of the numbered bottles, we only got six cases, so you'll have to be quick to get your hands on it. One in a thousand? We think this is one in a million.
Tasting notes
The 2015 Uno de Mil showcases a deep ruby color with aromas of red cherries, strawberries, blackberries, ripe plums, cinnamon, vanilla, and a hint of desiccated coconut. On the palate, it is full-bodied with velvety tannins, offering flavors of dark fruits, chocolate, and a touch of pepper, leading to a long, harmonious finish.
About the winemaker
Dominio de Punctum was founded and is still owned by the Fernandez family. This family has a long winemaking history, but this a new venture from four young siblings set up in 2005. Jesus Fernandez is the vineyard manager and Ruth Fernandez is the head winemaker and they make their wines organically and biodynamically, free of chemicals and in harmony with the environment.
