You wont be disappointed with this classic Merlot / Cab Franc blend - oozing class and elegance - a dangerously drinkable wine!
About the wine
Le Cerisier 2020 is a bold yet approachable take on Bordeaux, offering structure, depth, and a touch of unexpected grip. Crafted with care and precision, it’s a wine that leans into Merlot’s softer side while still delivering the firm backbone Bordeaux is known for. Polished, characterful, and made to impress—whether it’s your Tuesday table or your Sunday roast.
Tasting notes
Rich aromas of wild blackberry, blueberry, cassis, and a touch of strawberry lead into a smooth, layered palate of juicy dark fruits, raspberry, vanilla, and subtle notes of chocolate, tonka bean, liquorice, and black tea.
About the winemaker
The stunning Chateau Grangey dates back to 1756 on a beautiful hillside in St Emilion. With only 6ha of vineyards these small, but mighty, producers make some truly spectacular Merlot!
The Araoz family have been in charge since 1954 and soon got their Environmentally friendly agriculture certificate and are in process of obtaining their organic farming certificate.
