Bodegas De Alberto Dorado Dulce NV is a unique and historic sweet wine from Rueda DO, Spain, crafted using the region's traditional oxidative aging method. Made primarily from Verdejo grapes, this golden-hued wine undergoes extended aging in demi-johns under the sun before further maturation in oak barrels, developing rich complexity and depth.
On the nose, it offers intense aromas of dried fruits, honey, roasted nuts, and caramel, with subtle oxidative notes reminiscent of Sherry. The palate is luscious and balanced, with a beautiful interplay of sweetness, acidity, and nutty bitterness, leading to a long, elegant finish.
A rare and historic expression of Dorado-style wines, this is an excellent pairing for blue cheeses, nut-based desserts, or foie gras, or simply enjoyed on its own as a contemplative after-dinner treat.
