The crisp reality check your summer salads desperately need.
Rombauer Vineyards Carneros Sauvignon Blanc, 2021, is crafted from fruit sourced from top Napa and Sonoma vineyards. This wine is celebrated for its vibrant and fresh profile, capturing the essence of the cool-climate Carneros region. Known for its consistency and high quality, it offers a refined expression of Sauvignon Blanc that showcases the unique character of the area.
On the nose, vibrant aromas of lime zest, lemon blossom, green apple, and fresh-cut grass, with a hint of tropical fruit. On the palate, lively flavours of pink grapefruit, lime, apricot, and honey, with a clean, refreshing finish. The grapes are pressed cool, fermented in stainless steel and French oak barrels, giving the wine its crisp citrus profile and well-rounded character. This wine pairs excellently with seafood, sushi, summer salads, or spicy Asian dishes.
When founders Koerner and Joan Rombauer moved their two children, two horses and five dogs to Napa Valley in 1972, they arrived armed with an appreciation for the intimate relationship between food and wine. Their appreciation stemmed from Koerner’s great aunt Irma Rombauer having authored internationally renowned cookbook the Joy of Cooking and his ancestors originating from the winegrowing region of Rheingau, Germany, where wine is considered an essential complement to a meal. Appreciation bred passion, and Rombauer Vineyards was established in 1980. Forty years later, the winery remains owned by second- and third-generation members of the family.
