This sparkling delight is your VIP ticket to a soirée where every pop of the cork is a round of applause for your excellent taste – Cheers to celebrating in style without the need for an actual reason!
After whole bunch pressing with minimal skin contact, the clear juice was left to settle before being pumped into stainless steel tanks for cold fermentation. A portion of the wine was fermented in four-year-old barrels and underwent full malolactic fermentation, adding depth and texture to the final blend.
Fine beady mousse with aromas of pear, Granny Smith apple, citrus, and light yeasty notes, lifted by a subtle red berry hint. The palate is lively and foamy, with delicate toasty notes. Chardonnay brings citrus, stone fruit and tropical nuances, while Pinot Noir adds sweet glazed red cherries. Finishes crisp, fresh and lingering – perfect with seafood or chilled on its own.
Charles Marais, a Huguenot peasant from Le Plessis Marly in the Ile de France region wanted a better life for his family. They were plagued by drought, famine, crippling taxes and ensuing poverty. These factors coupled with religious persecution saw them setting sail for the Cape in 1687 where Charles and his family settled; that was the very beginning of Plaisir Wine Estate
The beautiful Plaisir Wine Estate is situated at the foot of the Simonsberg Mountain between Paarl and Franschhoek. The wines produced here are inspired by the harmony of a rich history, the fertile soil and lush vineyards.
