A luminous, aromatic Viognier from Château Gigognan, offering the grape’s signature perfume with a Rhône twist—fresh, expressive, and beautifully poised.
About the Wine
Château Gigognan, an historic estate in the southern Rhône, farms organically and focuses on purity and finesse. Their Viognier comes from sun-drenched parcels that allow the grape to ripen fully while still retaining lift. Gentle pressing and cool fermentation protect its intense aromatics and give the wine its bright, elegant flow.
Tasting Notes
Fragrant notes of apricot, peach, white blossom, and a hint of citrus zest. The palate is smooth and fruit-led, with a rounded, softly textured feel and a fresh, lifted finish that keeps the wine lively and moreish.
Food Pairing Suggestions
A natural match for roasted chicken, seared scallops, aromatic Asian dishes, goat’s cheese, or creamy pasta. Also excellent with lightly spiced Mediterranean plates and fragrant vegetarian dishes.
About the Winemaker
Château Gigognan is led by owner Jean-François Hénin, who revitalised the historic estate with investment, organic farming, and a focus on precision winemaking. Vineyard manager Loïc Baillet and oenologist Jenna Le Lay guide the estate’s white-wine programme, balancing Rhône richness with clarity, energy and impeccably clean fruit expression.
