Carter Vintners, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2019, Margaret River, Australia
Red Wine

Hey, Cabernet, slow down, why you gotta be so overripe and rich all the time? Take a break, and embrace your fresh and atmospheric side. The Carter Cabernet Sauvignon is born of the dramatic landscape of Margaret River, which has some of the most ancient soil found on the pale blue dot - 600 million years old and counting! What is left is a maze of soils that barely have any nutrients, and allow Ryan Carter’s Cabernet Sauvignon vines to dig deep into Margaret River’s red earth with diligent blue-banded bees buzzing about. Handcrafted, unfiltered, and made with an appreciation for this special piece of Earth, this is Humble Grape to the core.
Ryan Gosling? Ryan Reynolds? Ryan Giggs? Nope, it’s all about Ryan Carter. The Carter family have been making wine since the 1890s and Ryan has produced world-famous Chardonnay at Isole e Olena in Tuscany, Shaw & Smith in Adelaide and Leeuwin Estate in Margaret River. With viticultural practices passed down 5 generations, nothing much has changed. Ryan employs no irrigation, no grafted vines and a hands-on approach from vineyard to cellar to create wines that are adored by all.
