Wine with a harmonious, warm, balanced taste with vanilla notes, an intense red color with light purple reflections and hints of ripe red berry fruit with spicy aromas.
Once relatively obscure to American wine lovers, the grape has gained fans among sommeliers who wax poetic over its captivating floral perfume. These lean toward easy-drinking wines with supple tannins, though earnest examples exist. It’s high acid, delicate tannins, fresh red fruit and florals. It’s almost an all-too-perfect replacement for a light-bodied, commercial expression of Pinot Noir.
It pairs well with all red meat dishes, roasted game and hard cheeses.
Vini Consiglio specializes in the cultivation of vines and the production of wine, a passion of their ancestors that dates back over 100 years.
It is located in Sicily in the Province of Agrigento, in one of the areas highly suited to the cultivation of grapes.
In 1987 the company chose the organic cultivation method without the use of synthetic chemicals.
