Tingly & pure. “Sur lie”, smell seashells, taste the seashore. Tangy and dry with the wonderful minerality that Muscadet is famous for, this is wine by the rolling ocean, even if you’re nowhere near the ocean. Heck, you could be strolling across the plain and you’d still taste the Atlantic in this. Aged for six months minimum on fine lees.
The Domaine Ménard-Gaborit dates back to 1734. Today, Philippe and Thierry Ménard - the 5th generation of their family to work the vineyards – work smart as well as hard: in 2008 they received “Reasoned Agriculture” certification by the French Minister of Agriculture and by 2015 they’d reached the HVE (High Environmental Value), the highest rank for the reasoned agriculture certification.
