Les Freres Laffitte Petit et Gros Manseng
Sold Out (inc VAT)
Hello, sunshine. Don't tell me you've been flirting with other ros̩s?
You can probably guess by the name: Petit and Gros Manseng are close relations. It wouldn't be stretching the analogy that far to call them brothers (since 'mutations' sounds a bit harsh). Big brother Gros has the acidity and florals, Petit has a sweetness about him. A signature wine of Domaine Laffitte kind of fitting, since it too is a case of two brothers in harmony the blend of serious aromatic richness and sweetness means this has a lot to give, and in surprising ways.
Bas-Armagnac is known as the home of the swashbuckling D'Artagnan, and the brothers Laffitte have an all for one and one for all vibe to them (the vineyard logo surely isn't meant to look like two lions fist-bumping, but now we've said it you won't ever be able to unsee it). Their vines are planted on the highest hills on the borders of Gascony, also known as "Little Tuscany" for its hilly and varied landscapes.
