Description
This wine has history! Domaine De Boisseyt, mentioned as "Viniblio de Boissie" in the 14th century, became a domain in 1797 post-French Revolution. Owned by the Chol family since the mid-1800s, it’s seen six generations. In 2017, the Decelle family took over, with Romain Decelle now at the helm. Enjoy this sip of history from their 10 hectares in Saint-Joseph, Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, and Côtes du Rhône.
Hailing from the granitic soils of Chavanay, this Saint-Joseph blanc is a 50/50 Marsanne-Roussanne blend. Aged 25 years, these vines produce a wine with a fresh fruit and delicate white flower aroma, jazzed up by toasted nuts. The taste starts fresh, turns round and delicious, and finishes long with pleasant bitterness. Best enjoyed young, within 5 to 6 years.
