Domaine de Boisseyt "En Amont' Viognier, 2022, Northern Rhône, France
White Wine
£32.25 (inc VAT)
The first mention of Domaine De Boisseyt 'Viniblio de Boissie' dates back to the 14th Century, however, it is more recently! after the French Revolution in 1797 that Domaine De Boisseyt is formed. Family run for six generations by the Chol family, and now the Decelle Family, Romain Decelle aims to convert the entire estate to organic viticulture and re-establish Domaine De Boisseyt as one of the great Northern Rhone producers alongside Guigal and Chapoutier.
These Viognier vines from Chavanay thrive in light, granite-rich soil. At 30 years old, they pack a punch. Harvested while juicy and crunchy, whole clusters are pressed, fermented, and aged for 8 months in sandstone eggs. Expect tender yellow and white fruits, floral notes, and an expressive nose. The taste is juicy and ends with a zesty twist.
