Chateau de la Mulonnière, L'Effet Papillon Savennières, 2014, Loire Valley, France
£34.00 (inc VAT)
Hand picking. Inventive maceration. WORK went into this. It shows.
"The Butterfly Effect' wine. A remarkable Chenin Blanc, that just like the theory is a phenomenon whereby a minute localised change in a complex system can have large effects elsewhere. It basically causes smiles. Grapes are picked late to allow them to get incredibly ripe, fermented in oak and then aged for 7 months in stainless steel.
The landscapes outlying La Mulonni̬re perfectly mirror the terroir from which they were created, and feature among the finest in Savennieres and even the Loire Valley. Exuding charm, relaxation and simplicity.
