Dominio de Punctum Lagasca Viognier, 2023, La Mancha DO, Spain
White Wine
£20.05 (inc VAT)
An organic, biodynamic, punchy and floral delight named after an exiled botanist.
We've all seen Jurassic Park. Bad things happen when you try and bring the extinct back to life. Maybe it only applies to dinosaurs, because it isn't the case for wine. In 1965 Viognier was almost extinct. Now its popularity is booming and it isn't hard to see why with mandarin, apricot and honeysuckle infused delights like this out there. Organic, biodynamic, night harvested and made in stainless steel.
Dominio de Punctum was founded and is still owned by the Fernandez family. This family has a long winemaking history, but this a new venture from four young siblings set up in 2005. Jesus Fernandez is the vineyard manager and Ruth Fernandez is the head winemaker and they make their wines organically and biodynamically, free of chemicals and in harmony with the environment.
